Aeropostale

How Aeropostale turned creator video into its highest-converting on-site experience

Aeropostale runs influencers and its own store associates — the A Team — side by side on one platform, with the same content selling on social, on storefronts, and right on the PDP.

The challenge

Aeropostale's audience lives on short-form video, but the brand's site experience still ran on flat studio photography. Social content performed — and then died on the platform it was posted to. Nothing carried the momentum from a creator's feed to the product page, and the marketing team had no way to prove which piece of content had actually driven a sale.

And the people who knew the product best — thousands of store associates already making content on their own time — had no way to sell from it, and nothing to gain when they did.

The approach

Using Influence, the team discovered and booked creators matched to specific products, briefed them in one place, and secured full usage rights on delivery. With Team, they opened the same platform to store associates as the Aeropostale A Team — same tools, same library, same commissions. Every asset lands in one managed library instead of scattered across DMs and drives.

Site then published that library as shoppable video across category and product pages, with products tagged directly in each clip. Track closed the loop: social reach, on-site engagement, and sales attribution in one full-funnel view, so the team could double down on the creators and formats that were actually selling.

“Creatable is powerful, yet simple to use.”

Steve Lubomski — Vice President of Marketing, Aeropostale

The results

Creator video became the highest-converting experience on the site. Shoppers who watched stayed roughly three times longer, browsed more, and converted at a rate the brand's static merchandising had never reached.

  • 13.4M total views across social and on-site placements from a single creator library.
  • 6.2% social engagement rate — well above the brand's paid social benchmark.
  • 12% on-site conversion rate for sessions that engaged with shoppable video.
  • 3X time on site, with attribution tying views back to revenue.
  • 5.2% storefront conversion rate on A Team associate storefronts — new commission income for the people on the floor.
01 · One platform, two kinds of seller

Influencers and employees, working the same library

This is what makes Creatable different. Booked influencers and Aeropostale's own store associates publish into one content system, with one set of product tags, one rights model and one attribution layer behind them — so a haul filmed in a bedroom and a fitting-room video filmed on shift both end up selling in the same places.

One content library

Influencer deliverables and associate posts land in the same managed library, tagged to the same catalog.

One commission model

Everyone who sells gets paid on what they sell — associates included, tracked to the individual.

Three places to sell

Social feeds, personal storefronts, and the Aeropostale PDP — all fed by the same clips.

02 · The A Team

Store associates became sellers — and stayed

Aeropostale calls its associate program the A Team. Joining takes minutes: an associate gets a personal storefront, an approved content feed, and a commission on everything they sell. What started as a sales channel turned into the brand's strongest engagement program — associates who join post more, stay longer, and talk about the brand like owners, because for the first time their taste is worth money.

03 · Storefronts

A storefront they make their own

Every A Team member gets a branded storefront on aeropostale.com they personalize themselves — their cover image, their photo, their voice — then promote as the link in bio across TikTok, Instagram and everywhere else they post.

Curated and shoppable

Each member curates their own videos and picks the products tagged beneath them — fitting-room hauls, denim picks, outfit inspo.

One link, every channel

"Shop link in my bio" — #AeroATeam posts across TikTok and Instagram all route to their storefront and pay commission on what sells.

04 · On the PDP

The same video sells at the moment of decision

Every clip an influencer or A Team associate publishes can be merchandised straight onto the product page — an "As seen on…" rail plus a full-screen shoppable player with the product, price and add-to-bag right beside the video.

Shoppers see a real person wearing the jeans instead of a flat studio shot, and the creator behind the clip gets credited and paid when it converts.

  • Shoppable player with tagged products and live pricing
  • "As seen on…" rail of creator and associate videos per SKU
  • Every view, click and order attributed back to the seller
